Training

We offer a range of ad hoc training courses, for individuals and for members of community organisations - some of these are organised in conjunction with partner organisations or as part of wider broadcasting projects.

Recent training courses
Training course in Forest Hill Library, Spring 2006 London Link Radio recently held two short radio training courses in the London Borough of Lewisham for refugees and members of community organisations which support refugees and asylum seekers.  The courses taught basic radio production skills using portable equipment (mini disk recorders and digital editing software) and were held in Forest Hill Library.

The immediate aims were to provide basic training for around 14 local people and with them to record a selection of items relevant to refugees and refugee support organisations in Lewisham.

Some of the items produced by the trainees will be available from this website and/or will be broadcast online as part of Refugee Week Radio 2006.  We also aimed to build awareness of community radio among a network of contacts in Lewisham, especially involving refugees and refugee support organisations, and hope that some of the trainees will take part as volunteers in the Refugee Week Radio broadcasts in June.

London Link Radio acknowledge the support of Lewisham Libraries, South East London Community Foundation and the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit for these courses.
