Background
London Link Radio is a not-for-profit company (limited by guarantee) and a registered charity.  Our aims are to educate and inform the public by producing high quality radio items and programmes and broadcasting them over the internet, and to provide broadcasting opportunities for groups which are under-represented in the mainstream media.

Activities
Our activities split into two main kinds, with many projects covering both:

• Online live or 'as-live' broadcasts, with volunteers and trainees fully involved as presenters, producers, reporters, researchers and technicians. Examples of these include:
  ~ Refugee Week Radio (each year in June 2006 - 2009) 
  ~ Radio 1812 (2008 and 2009, each in December)
   

• Support for specific groups, in particular using online communications such as online showcases and portal websites.  Examples include:
  ~ support for new and aspiring writers
  ~ support for new radio broadcasters and media workers

Get involved
For all our activities we welcome volunteer contributors, whether they are new freelancers or recent trainees looking for experience, community broadcasters or representatives of community groups.  We offer opportunities for people at the start of their media career, or who do not want to go into the radio industry full-time, or who want to use community media to inform the public about the work of their charity or similar organisation.
