London Link Radio is a not-for-profit company (limited by guarantee) and a registered charity.  Our aims are to educate and inform the public by producing high quality radio items and programmes and broadcasting them over the internet, and to provide broadcasting opportunities for groups which are under-represented in the mainstream media.

Since forming as an organisation, we have run three successful series of broadcasts, as follows:

  • Westwords Radio (April 2006) - linked to the Westwords Festival which was held during March-April across nine Boroughs in West London

  • Refugee Week Radio (June 2006) - we were one of the major partners in this first series of Refugee Week Radio, which aimed to publicise and showcase works and events set up as part of Refugee Week 2006, and to discuss refugee and asylum issues.

  • Autumn Broadcast 2006 - for our first Autumn Broadcast, we focused on three themes:  diversity, literature and environment

All our broadcasts welcome volunteer contributors, whether they are freelancers looking for experience, trainees or community broadcasters.  We are proud to be able to offer opportunities for people at the start of their career, or who do not want to go into the radio industry full-time, or who want to use community media to inform the public about the work of their charity or similar organisation.
